My name is Tom Nelson. I am currently a student at the
University of Louisville as a C.I.S. (Computer Informaiton Systems) major. You
can see the classes this entails on the right, as well as what I have taken and
what I will be taking.
My prior degree is in Graphic Design from Sullivan college. Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash were the
primary tools of the trade. I did design for 8 years professionally. This
started with local design through working within companies such as ProMedia
Group, Pilgrim I.T., TMP Worldwide, and Ideology.
With anything, expansion is key. Liquide Statik was opened and began
international design. The countries that have had L.S. branding are U.S.A.,
Vietnam, Japan, and China.
An idea of creating RIAs is which the interface was both enjoyable and
functional. This is one of the reasons that I decided to return to school. After
having tried to learn programming from several books, I soon realized that a
formal programming education was needed and decided to enroll in C.I.S. |
